The villa has a large driveway, big enough for three cars.  From the driveway, there are steps leading down to the entrance door.  On entering the villa there is a spacious hallway.  From the hallway, to the right, you will find the lounge/diner, which is comfortably furnished equipped with TV with IPTV channels, DVD player, and Wi-Fi Internet access.  In addition, there is a dining table which can comfortably seat 6 people.  There is also a log burner to warm the room on chillier evenings in either spring or autumn.  There are dual aspect doors from this room that lead out onto the large wrap-around terrace, where there are spectacular sea views.

The kitchen with cream units and a granite worktop is well supplied with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, washing machine, toaster, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, plus all the cutlery and crockery necessary for a self-catering holiday.

There is a twin bedroom to the right of the hallway with its own en-suite shower room.

To the left of the hallway are the remainder of the bedrooms. Three double bedrooms and one single. The master bedroom with king-size bed has patio doors leading directly on to the terrace.  Due to its position it enjoys those spectacular sea views.  The master bedroom and one of the other doubles have their own en-suite.  The single and one of the double bedrooms share a family bathroom, with a bath and overhead shower.

All bedrooms have air conditioning and fully fitted wardrobes.

From the kitchen, lounge and two of the bedrooms are doors leading on to the covered terrace.  There is ample room for a dining room table and chairs.  From the main terrace there is a brick built barbecue with food preparation areas and steps leading down to the large swimming pool and sunbathing terrace.  The rectangular pool with Roman steps is 9 x 4 metres.  The tiled pool terrace area has ample space for the sunloungers.  Additional steps leads to a number of terraces to enjoy a “sundowner” and admire the spectacular sea views.  In addition, there is also access to the pool jetty and direct access to the water´s edge.

Whilst this property´s living accommodation is all one level, please note that there are steps to access the property itself, plus the pool area and additional terraces so this must be taken into account for those with mobility problems.

Because of its slightly isolated location, a hire car is recommended although the water taxi, can be booked to ferry guests across the harbour to either Mahon or Es Castell since the villa has its own jetty and mooring dock.

Area:

Nestling on low hills on the north shore of Mahon Harbour Sant Antoni overlooks the waterfront close to Cala Llonga. Looking across to the historic Isla del Rey (floodlit during the summer months and at Christmas), there are constantly changing views during the day thanks to the yachts, fishing boats and ships that sail these world-famous waters! At night-time the breathtaking sunsets and distant twinkling lights of Es Castell are magical. Little wonder that San Antoni is one of the most sought-after areas in Menorca.

In contrast to the peace and quiet of San Antoni, a five minute water taxi or car ride will take you to Mahon’s lively waterfront restaurants, bars, galleries and boutiques. From here you can walk up the ancient steps to the atmospheric old town with an even bigger selection of shops, eateries and places of interest including the colourful food and fish markets.

There are various sandy beaches near to San Antoni: the closest is the lovely cove of Cala Mesquida approximately 5 kilometres away, whilst the quaint fishing village of Es Grau with its wide horseshoe shaped sandy beach is approximately 10kms away. The 19th century fortress of La Mola on the nearby headland at the mouth of the harbour is also well worth a visit.

Chartering a boat is the perfect way to explore Menorca’s numerous sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Boats can be chartered for any duration, but if you don’t have the requisite skills you can still enjoy the thrill of being at sea by being part of an organised boat trip for anything between a couple of hours up to a day. If you enjoy snorkelling, diving or fishing, you will find plenty to do along Menorca’s diverse coastline with its innumerable coves, inlets and beaches.

If you prefer to stay on dry land, the 20 waymarked tracks along the island’s coastline are great for pony trekking, hiking or cycling. A 10 minute drive from San Antoni will take you to Son Parc with its 18 hole golf course (the only one on the island).
